Bob Hill
Instructor
Bob has been playing drums for over thirty years and has performed a wide variety of musical styles. He began by playing snare drum in several local and regional Drum Corps and was awarded the NBTA National Snare Solo Championship in 1980 and ’81. In 1983 and ’84 Bob performed with the Essex Community College Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Gary Daley and in 1987 and ’88 he performed with the Towson State Jazz Ensemble under the direction of world renowned composer and arranger Hank Levy.
Bob studied drumming for over fifteen years with local legends Bill Pool, Vince Coletti, George Gaylor, Bill Watson, Steve Ashcraft, and Dale Rauschenberg. While performing over three thousand gigs Bob has played Rock Music with Joey and the Jammers, Muleman, and Never Never; Swing with the Hula monsters, and Totally Confused bands; Country Music with the Lone Starlets; Polish Music with the Royal Cavaliers, and the Tommy Thomas Trio; and Blues with Skyla Burrell, and the Kelly Bell Band which was named “Best Blues Band in Baltimore” by the Baltimore City Paper.
